Robert lives in Sero-olipi, a 7 hours walk from camp. "I came to Sarara when I was 20 years old. I first started here as a trainee room steward, then trained in the mess for a few days and when a colleague left Piers promoted me to run the mess. My plan now is to become a guide, I have recently learned to drive and am working to get my bronze certification in guiding. I have 5 siblings and I am responsible for educating them as I am the eldest son and my father passed away when I was only 12. I am dedicated to working here at Sarara."
